I am a retired Chemical Engineer who worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for 30+ years and a few years of industrial experience, a Texas steel company and a major Food company. The last 20 years of my federal career incorporated planning, strategizing, and facilitating multi-party activities, which included public forums and federal, state, and local authority activities.

My experience also included professional and personal advisory committees at the local and national levels. My experience incorporates understanding government and private sector processes and procedures commonly practiced. Being a good listener and understanding the needs is the most important aspect when supporting an individual, a family, or a company partner.

The LOLA story is a family story; as one of three siblings, we learned from our parents the importance of supporting each other following the passing of our father. This story began when we lost our mother, who demonstrated the strength and resilience of her generation and the ability to set the guidance and roadmap for the family to celebrate - not grieve a loss. Our mother planned all the big pieces for our family and did it her way in managing her kidney disease. Our father then began planning soon after our mother’s passing how he would proceed from losing his wife, our mother. He then began to organize and update his documents and discuss his thoughts with each of his children. In the end, he allowed us to understand his plan.
